Rhône Ciments

Situated close to the CCI river port of Portes-lès-Valence (in the Drôme region) and linked by rail, the Rhône Ciments site, with an annual production capacity of around 240,000 metric tons, serves the markets of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and Occitanie with bulk and bagged cement, as well as the Île-de-France region with bagged cement.

The plant started to produce and sell cement in April 2021.

All the products (in loose form or in bags) are granted with the CE marking to meet the expectations of our customers.

The site has already created over 35 full-time direct jobs locally, along with an equal number of indirect jobs.

On site, special attention has been given to the integration of the factory into the local landscape visible from the banks of the Rhône and to the preservation of the biodiversity, which is especially rich in this area. Notably, compensatory measures have been put into place in partnership with the local authorities, the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône, the specialist cabinet EGIS and the Drôme region League for the Protection of Birds (LPO) in order to preserve the natural habitat of the Large Blue butterfly, as well as other species.
