Pomorski Cement

Situated in the deep-sea Port of Gdynia, very close to the bulk supplies terminal, the Pomorski Cement project will serve the customers of the very dynamic markets of Pomerania and the rest of Northern Poland.

The procedure for obtaining a construction permit and environmental licence is well advanced, for an annual capacity of approximately 240,000 metric tons.

Completion of this project will be in association with a chosen strategic partner.

Ultimately, the site will employ about 30 direct jobs and will generate just as many indirect jobs.

C3F, Ciments des Trois Frontières

Located on a site connected both by rail and river to the Port of Ottmarsheim (Haut-Rhin), the cement grinding facility Ciments des Trois Frontières (C3F) will principally supply customers in Switzerland in addition to the markets of Alsace and Bade-Wurtemberg in Germany.

Authorizations for this site, construction and ICPE permits, have been granted for an annual capacity of approximately 240,000 metric tons.

Completion of this project will be in association with a chosen partner. The constitution of this strategic partnership is very much advanced, and site construction should begin in the second half of 2020 for a planned production start in 2021.

Ultimately, the site will employ 32 direct jobs and will generate just as many indirect jobs.

Thamesport Cement

Situated in the port of Thamesport, the project is perfectly positioned to serve customers of the major markets of the Greater London area and the south-east of England. The project, with a production capacity of approximately 550,000 metric tons of cement per year, will be completed in association with a strategic partner.
The constitution of this partnership is very much advanced. Site construction will begin mid 2020 for a planned production start in 2021.

Ultimately, the site will employ 32 direct jobs and will generate just as many indirect jobs.

Cimsaro, Ciments de la Saône et du Rhône

Located in the river port of Chalon-sur-Saône (Saône et Loire) and with direct rail access, the site of Ciments de la Saône et du Rhône (Cimsaro) will supply the markets of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Nord, Burgundy-Franche -Comté and French-speaking Switzerland.

Authorizations for this site, construction and ICPE permits, have been granted for an annual capacity of 240,000 metric tons.

For this site, and in partnership with local authorities and local actors, special attention has been given to the preservation of the biodiversity (notably the emblematic species the Natterjack toad) and to compensating a part of the terrain corresponding to a wetlands area.

To this end a protected area for biodiversity has been created within the Aproport, in consultation with the local chamber of commerce the CCI and the French waterways authorities, the Voies Navigables de France and the EPTB Saône Doubs.

Ultimately, the site will employ 32 direct jobs and will generate just as many indirect jobs.

Val de Loire Ciments

Located on proprietorial land connected to the rail network within the Méron industrial zone of the Montreuil-Bellay (Maine et Loire) commune, the Val de Loire Ciments project is ideally situated at the centre of the growth markets of Western France and the greater Paris (Ile de France) area.

The construction permit for this plant has been given and the authorization of the ICPE permit was granted in June 2019.
The construction of the factory will begin according to Aliénor Ciments and Rhône Ciments ramp upand to  respect the reproduction and nesting period of the Little Bustard, an emblematic protected species present in the region, and this in agreement with the authorities and local associations for the protection of the environment.

The site will have an annual capacity of 480,000 metric tons thanks to the construction of two grinders.

At full capacity, employment at the site will be the equivalent of 36 full-time jobs.

Rhône Ciments

Situated close to the CCI river port of Portes-lès-Valence (in the Drôme region) and linked by rail, the Rhône Ciments site, with an annual production capacity of around 250,000 metric tons, will serve the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Occitania markets.

Building permits were given and the environmental ICPE authorization licence was granted in June 2019.

The construction of the factory started in July 2019.The first cement will be produced in the first quarter of 2021 and the premier level certification (CE marking) will be obtained in the second quarter of 2021. Lastly, the French standards NF labelling is expected byFebruary 2022.

To date the industrial structure is completed and the cladding is being installed.

So far, the location has already allowed for the creation of 6 direct jobs and is currently generating significant activity for local construction and service companies.

Ultimately, the site will employ 33 direct jobs and will generate just as many indirect jobs.

On site, special attention has been given to the integration of the factory into the local landscape visible from the banks of the Rhône and to the preservation of the biodiversity, which is especially rich in this area. Notably, compensatory measures have been put into place in partnership with the local authorities, the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône, the specialist cabinet EGIS and the Drôme region League for the Protection of Birds (LPO) in order to preserve the natural habitat of the Large Blue butterfly, as well as other species.

Cem’In’Log, Cement Innovation Logistics, Sète

Since 2019, Cem’In’Log Sète is located on the bulk mineral terminal site of the Port of Sète. Cem’In’Log receive clinker vessels  within its 30.000 metric tons storage hall  that will  be double to 60,000 metric tons of product in 2021. The raw materials are then containerized and sent to Aliénor Ciments, Rhône Ciments and later to Cimsaro by complete trains and to Rhône Ciments and Cimsaro by river barges.

The Cem’In’Log company has resulted from partnership with the French group SOGENA, a major French actor of port services (www.sogena.com).

Aliénor Ciments

Built on proprietorial land in Tonneins (Lot et Garonne) and connected to the rail network thanks to a private line, Aliénor Ciments serves the markets of the Greater Southwest area: New Aquitaine and Occitania.

The site, with a production capacity of 240,000 metric tons per year, has been in activity since the second half of 2018.

To meet with the needs of diverse customers, all of the cements produced by Aliéror Ciments are approved to the French standard NF Liant Hydraulique, and this since September 2019. The site has also been certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 by the French AFAQ quality organisation. The cement is delivered either in bags or in loose form.

Built on a brownfield industrial site, the activity has already allowed for the creation of more than 20 full-time direct jobs locally, as well as about 15 indirect jobs. At full capacity, the site will employ 33 direct jobs and will generate just as many indirect jobs.
